Changing Alliances – A Guild Review for GuildMags Blog Carnival

Some details were revealed about the new guild system of our favorite upcoming MMORPG at Gamescom and PAX, and it’s time to blog about it. We can still join multiple guilds, but they will be tied to our account instead of our character, and we can switch our ‘dedication’ to a guild with a simple click of our mice. Switching loyalty at seconds notice: a blessing or doomed to fail. Continue reading

Tiny People, Tiny Posts – An Asura Week Review

Asura Week is over and it was a … revelation to me. A short race means a reasonably short blog post apparently, but maybe I’m just used to the long blog post the sylvari week brought us. Think of it what you will, this race week still gave us some information, and something for me to ponder about. And that is a great accomplishment, looking at the fact that the asura sometimes use words that make a story a lot more complicated. Continue reading

How To Get A Painting In A Video – A GamesCom 2011 Trailer Review

Some blog about the PvP information we just received, others about the small parts of the demo that were posted online. But I’m going to blog about what really struck me today: the Guild Wars 2 GamesCom 2011 Trailer. Although some footage was recycled, a very big part of the trailer was brand new, epic footage. And let’s not forget the subject that is even closer to being released: the Winds of Change.

I Wanna Cuddle Them – A Quaggan Post

Quaggan, a friendly, fat dolphin looking race has emerged in Tyria. Being driven away by those horrible krait, they went from living on the bottom of the ocean, being almost unknown, to living in little lakes and rivers. Why didn’t they fight? Why didn’t they just blast those krait instead of running and making themselves known to murdering pirates and other enemies? Well, because they’re afraid to get mad. Continue reading

Do You Get A Map When Visiting? – A Lion’s Arch Post

A video, a blog, a map, we’ve all seen it a while ago. Lion’s Arch was born a while ago, changed because of the rising of the Dragons and became strong, more beautiful and, most importantly, bigger than ever. And when I say bigger, I mean it’s huge. Continue reading

Where The Hell Did That Mine Come From – An Engineer Review

Technology certainly evolved in Tyria during the past 250 years. It has even evolved so much that a whole new profession evolved with it. The engineer is ready to take his place in this future and will shoot everybody that dares stand in his way. Or he’ll just blow you up.
